Stack the Odds in Your Favor

Blackjack is one of the best casino games for players because the odds aren’t stacked against the player. Increase your odds even more before you even sit down at the table by following these simple steps.

First, take a walk around the casino and keep your eyes out for tables offering a 2:1 payback rather than the typical 3:2. This 2:1 payoff actually gives the player an edge over the house.

The history of black jack and mathematical strategy

Black jack has been popular for many centuries; long before the advent of online gambling. Black jack was first played in 1700 in France and was originally called Vingt Et Un which translates as 21 and has only been played in the USA since the 1800s.

In the 1970s black jack computers were created which could simulate 1 million hands of poker and these were used to form serious playing gameplans and strategies that were used to beat the casinos.

In recent years, the eruption of the internet has taken online gambling and black jack with it creating one of the largest industries in the world. The use of computers to play black jack has it’s advantages too. Records are easy to keep and a handy spreadsheet or crib sheet is always at hand. Getting your black jack strategy book out of your pocket at the casino isn’t always a viable option.

For all it’s fans, however, online gambling originally brought a certain stigma of mistrust with it. Many believed that there was nothing random about computer selected numbers. Independent auditors and people’s obsession with black jack and gambling in general have seen the relative demise of this worry, however, and online gambling is more popular now than ever.

If you sit at any blackjack table long enough and track the wins and losses, after 100 hands or so you’ll discover that the number of wins and losses are roughly equal. Losses will often slightly exceed wins, but they’re usually very close.
